Myth Grave
The War on Marijuana is not one only waged at the border, or on the streets of American cities across the country; it is waged on television, in the media, in our schools, and on our youth. Among the many victims and casualties of this war, there is another which rarely gets the recognition and respect it deserves: truth. Indeed, the War on Marijuana is an information war in which both sides are attempting to appeal to society to win their hearts, minds, and–ultimately–support. Some of these attempts use research, many others, however, attempt to appeal to one’s emotions; manipulating them in hopes of converting another non-believer.
This section of SMtF, Myth Grave, will act as a repository for all out-dated, illogical, fallacious, and/or manipulative arguments against cannabis. The goal is to clearly and concisely lay to rest so many ignorant claims still in circulation amongst prohibitionists.
I believe this section holds the potential of not only saving precious time while arguing with a prohibitionist, but aid in their education as well.
